Heals is spot on I think. Hughes is the anchor of this innings. The cool calm head keeping us from falling apart and rotating the strike as the rest attack around him.

Lol..

Selfish inning from Hughes..

He tooled around for that long that the captain had to send in a pinch hitter to start moving the game forward..

The pitch is misbehaving a bit

Australia should be able to do what they werent able to do in Adelaide, even if they declared right now

Dissapointing dismissal. But he's still got over 100 runs for the test. But I think it's come about as part of poor strategy from the team. And no this isn't just Hughes bandwagoning. I feel the Watson dismissal is the same way.

I feel our plan is to hurry when we're not in a position to hurry. We don't have enough runs on the board yet and we have plenty of time. We should be more patient and with the way Watson and Hughes have got out and with Wade being promoted I feel we're using a very wrong strategy.

Blame Ed Cowan for that.

He did his job of blunting the new ball but he shouldn't have stayed in so long.

Phil Hughes didn't get long enough at the crease as a result before the Aussies tried to up the scoring Rate.

Although one thing has to be pointed out, as opposed to the greatest wicket taker of all time (Murali only 3 wickets in test matches in Aus), we've let in Herath, albeit a couple of cheap ones when we were going for the runs

im just following the scores online, is the pitch really playing up that much? we need 400 imo and that seems a long, long way off atm!

400 has been chased ONCE...we will get 370 anyway, so why not get them as quick as possible especially considering the forecast/Tassie rubbish weather

The pitch is getting more and more uneven. This is a calm accumlators pitch. Not a hitting out pitch. I wish we were going about this differently.

The order at lunch should have been get runs but do it calmly, we have time, we'll declare an hour before stumps.

Instead we're rushing unnecessarily and it is costing us.

Scoring is the order now.

f**k our top order has been brittle all summer, god help us if we actually are under pressure and chasing a modest total in the next 12 months.

What rubbish. No strategy has a batsman hanging his bat out at a nothing ball.
