im just following the scores online, is the pitch really playing up that much? we need 400 imo and that seems a long, long way off atm!

350 is plenty, I have always said you have to give SL incentive to go for the victory. It is harder to get wickets when the batsmen are in full survival mode...think Adelaide. We need SL to play shots in the 4th innings. 350-370 is a good medium between the two. If we can't bowl them out for under 370 we don't deserve to win.

The pitch is getting more and more uneven. This is a calm accumlators pitch. Not a hitting out pitch. I wish we were going about this differently.

The order at lunch should have been get runs but do it calmly, we have time, we'll declare an hour before stumps.

Instead we're rushing unnecessarily and it is costing us.

With 1 bowler down you want to declare leaving us only 100 overs....it took us 110 in the 1st dig FFS! The pitch is similar. You need 125 overs to bowl them out.

We were 5/450 in the 1st innings. Now we're 4/180. The pitch is significantly harder to bat on than it was. There is movement. There is uneven bounce.

I'm not worried about time. I think one way or another there will be a result. But we need a proper total to defend without a key bowler. Closer to 400 than 300.

We are 280 ahead or whatever it is now...we only need another 70-90 runs maximum, get them as quick as possible, give yourself a day and a session to bowl them out.
