The battle of the ex-no1's

Swann came out recently and said "indian spinners no mystery", so massive pressure on england bats to perform, whats the bet the deck with be a massive turner?

KP Back

I think India will kill them tbh...

I'm looking forward to this series, KP to should absolutely kill it out there after all his dramas. He should get more centuries like the one he got against South Africa. As big a tool as he is, that stuff is great to watch. And South Africa's attack is much better than India's, so he might have some real fun there

I expect India to dish out turners and England to struggle on them. This is the start of a new era for England with Captain Cook taking over. It could be the start of a new era for India too if Sachin and Sehwag fare badly.

that's a fair point, but it's a different situation in England's batting lineup, they will perform much better than they did in the UAE

This pitch may be the slowest and lowest first day pitch I have ever seen, India should rack up 350+ today no problems.

Sehwag going ballistic on a road (86 off 71). Look forward to Indian fans and media talking him up as the greatest batsmen since Tendulkar and therefore better than Bradman.

Kleenex Kholi bowled of a good ball from Swann, he is the only person who has looked like taking a wicket. It's already started to turn the Poms batting last will struggle.

It's turning like crazy already, Swann looks really dangerous.

P.S - Anyone know why Harbhajan Singh isn't playing? Is it just his form?

India 4 for 323 at stumps, geez things slowed down after Sehwag got out. Pujara looks a good young player.

Had a poor 2 test series vs NZ in August. Now missing out on a batting belter in his own backyard, turning 40 early next year. Surely Tendulkar is gonna retire soon?

You have to wonder why he keeps playing - you can only assume the love of the game. He holds records galore, won a world cup and must be a multi millionaire.

Meanwhile Swann is a chance of taking all ten.

Does anyone know if this game is being showed on television in oz and if so what channel? Wished I could have seen sehwags innings love watching him smash it all over the park.

EDIT: never mind jus saw the highlights on fox sports news. Something to tide me over until the 2nd test between AUS and SA.
