2 PNG players sign with Cook Islands Club

2 players from PNG have signed with the Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles in the Cook Islands.

Ben Wemin and Isaac Mel from Enga Mioks have jioned the Sea Eagles and currently have won both games they have played to turn the clubs fortunes around.

Also in the Cook Islands league are a scattering of Fijian players and ex Canberra and Newcastle NRL player Sam Mataora who plays for Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers.

Also former NZ, Wigan and Manly star Kevin Iro has filled in with coaching duties at the Arorangi Bears and former Adelaide Ram Meti Noovao coaching the Titikaveka Bulldogs.

There is some experience for the local players to learn and develop under.
