Just back from the game what a load of rubbish. Where do you start

1---Our no 7 performance was as bad as any I have ever seen

2---Lawerance absolute no idea in defence a liability

3---Harrison as above

4--The offload was back to haunt us

5---our rucking off our line shocking

7--Absolute no ideas in attack if Farah dosnt set something up

8--Farah played injured
Their are so many worrying factors to come out of the game and thats not a knee jerk reaction
to our first loss

couple of postive
1---Bau Ryan gets better with every match

2---deano in the centres had a great game

3---big red and payten where great

Anyway will Sheens bite the bullet and pick Head---lets hope

Disagree about big red. He was f**king awful and lazy
Morris was back to his `finest'
Farah was obviously playing ill ... made more simple mistakes today than in the last 4 seasons combined
The 2 wingers were good
Our forwards (Heighno and Payten excepted) were piss poor. How many sets were the hitups Ryan, Lawrence, peni, ryan, hodgo - kick
John f**king Morris .. dear me

I'll start with the positives,

- Halatau's best game, on par with any performance during 2005 semi finals. He made excellent metres both out wide and later when he came into dummy half. His defence, particularly the hit he put on in the 2nd half to force the ball loose was also good.

-Keif- He consistently pushed 10 metres with each hit up and looked reasonably involved in defence.

- Beau Ryan- Apart from his tendency to run across field he had a very solid game especially with his kick returns.

The bad-

Morris' kicking game + obsession with taking the tackle rather than providing decent ball for the outside backs. Admittedly, he received woeful service from dummy half and on a number of occasions he was rushed with the kick.

Farah playing injured. Seen it all before.

Lawrence continues to appear lost in defence.

Moltzen kicked the ball once.

The forwards tried to offload too often, which invariably saw us losing metres.

The team was murdered when the bulldogs went on the attack from broken play. Very little urgency to shut down the offloads.

I agree with Ted. Halatau was fantastic, his best game for two years.

Galloway was the only one who made decent metres. Ryan was solid, but needs to run straight more often.

Morris' kicking game was a joke. When Farah is off, we've got nothing.

Sheens interview on the ABC was good spoke of most things posted above. Pretty much said they were terrible, passing game and kicking game woefull,Farah crook and no urgency in defence. Was concerned that when beaten they gave up and didnt try to protect the for against that could come back to bite them like last year. Also said they had no idea on last plays.

No Farah
No Benji
No Collis

They are the 3 that create the numbers for us

We still look a far more dangerous side from 50 than from 5

Galloway was sh*t the half arsed slow paced wanker. f**k him off

Another worry to me is Hogo's like ofpace. He still has a great football brain and a great passing game when he slips up into first and second receiver. But his dashes from broken play never result in daylight like the old days. Theirs not much counter punch in him anymore. He still should be first man picked, but we just dont seem to have that spark from the back anymore

With Farah injured, Moltzen too inexperienced to provide guidance and Morris little more than a frontrower, it was left to Hodgo to control the attack. He ran wide a lot today searching to pick up a ball runner but there was simply no urgency. His kicking game was pretty awful...

Supercoach i missed the interview but i have 2 question

1. Did Coach Shines give any indication as to whether he continues in his endeavour to polish a turd ?

2. And was sizzler pleased that the side that returned to conceding his post 2000 average of 30 points a game ?

Don`t panic. They were flat, which I had a feeling they would be after a big defensive efffort up in the tropics last week. They seemed as though they expected to win today without putting in too much effort. Why would you play Robbie Farah when it was clear he wasn`t fit to play ??? Why would you play Hodgo when it was clear he wasn`t fit to play ???
No idea how you can criticise Keith Galloway, he was by far our best forward ?
No doubts that Halatau had a blinder, keep him defending at left centre when Collis is back, but have him attacking on the wing with Lawrence inside him.
Peni Tagive had a great game, he`s getting more and more confident and looks ready to cause destruction.
John Morris didn`t go nearly as bad as what some of you are making out, just switch him to 5/8 with Matt Head at halfback and don`t ever let Morris kick the football.
Tim Moltzen may not have done a lot today, but he`s no doubt a star in the making, only he`s no halfback, a 5/8, centre or fullback.
I said this many times throughout the off season and there`s no mistake about it, we kept Hodgo in the NRL for one season too long. I love the bloke, but he`s past it, we have many better attacking options from fullback !!!

Hodgson was good today I thought. One season too long? Thats rubbish, he's still safe as houses back there and contributes in attack. Maybe if Morris wasn't so poor Hodgo wouldn't be forced to play as a five-eighth in attack so often. He's lost a yard of pace for sure but who are our better attacking options from fullback? Junior Burger? ROFL.

Yeh iam with vicious, its not panic stations yet and unlike in the past we now have other options in the 7 and 6 and most other postions. Its going to be tough for any team to get on a winning streak most weeks its a very fine line between a win and a loss. With Collis TNT Benji Ohara due back in the next month (maybe Benji a little longer) things are not grim. I just worry about our lack of go forward and the defensive blow out

He was good ? What did he do that was good ?
He no longer has the pace to slice defences open, we`d be better off with either Chris Lawrence, Benji Marshall, Tim Moltzen, Rhys Hanbury, Shannon McDonnell or Blake Lazarus at fullback. Once Matt Head is leading the side around, we`ll be wanting someone explosive at the back !
Don`t get me wrong, Hodgo won`t let us down and will probably get a few MOM awards before the end of the season, but we simply have younger, faster, hungier options !

Hodgo has to play fullback and halfback because his coach persists in playing that newcastle turd at half back who's about as creative with a ball in his hands as Al Qaeda are in control of a 737 over Manhattan.

I think Hodgo has been excellent this year and is over his knee problems of the last year and a bit.

Galloway just lumbers Vish .... never runs onto it at full tilt .. and don't get me started on that lazy half arsed attempt at intercept

His kicking game was poor (is only kicking because Morris is a spastic and Farah was ill), but he contributed well. Considering he was concussed last week, he had a decent game. The lack of go forward didn't help. Cleaned up at the back, linked well with the wingers and almost put a few few gaps running at the lines.

Lawrence isn't a fullback, nor is Marshall, Moltzen is just a rookie, as is Hanbury and McDonnell is a tried and failed (3/22) experiment.

Hodgo is still quality even if he is a little slower than he was in 2005. Safe as houses.

No doubt Morris is uncreative and shouldn`t be allowed to kick a football, but he`s whole hearted, he`ll hit a hole like he`s ten foot tall and bullet proof and he`ll tackle all day. He will be a good partner at 6 once Matt Head is running the show and in my opinion Benji would be a freak of a fullback.

Moth, I thought KG's first stint was excellent, by the time Shines got him back for a second stint the horse had bolted. Now this is comming from a bloke who dosnt rate him that highly.

I just feel the first time we have come up against a physical forward pack and we turned it up as in the past. Just went side ways and backwards all day. Farah's fitness or lack of fitness was probably the key. The old story stop Robbie stop the tigers

Morris hits more brick walls than holes and he certainly won't let anyone else hit a hole as he loves to get tackled. Morris holds the pill tighter than a teenager at a rave.

As bad as the side played today, if we had a decent kicking game we would have just about won the game . Matt Head has a quality kicking game, problem solved.
