You really think so ? like f**k they wouldn't they would all play soccer or Union or AFL.
Why should Penrith be kicked out ?
We have the largest Junior base of any Sydney club by a huge distance, after Newcastle more of our Junior's are playing in the NRL then anyone else's
We have a huge league's club the biggest in the southern hemisphere.

If you go by Penrith Junior district area
P.J.R.L stretches from Blacktown to Katoomba to Richmond.
Which would have a combined population of over 500,000 people.
Also half of Sydney's population now lives west of Blacktown.
we have been getting crowds of over 10,000 since 1998 which is more consistent then alot of other teams.

If you think Penrith should be kicked out your a complete idiot.
There is absolutely no reason why Penrith should be kicked out.
The city is growing all the time.
We were admitted into the competition 40 years ago.
With a population of 40,000 people now we have roughly 250,000

There is new real estate all over the place so there is plenty of room to grow and expand. There is absolutely no reason to kick Penrith out none whatsoever.

Low support sides like the Dragons should be relocated !!!

I rarely exaggerate in my predictions preferring to go with experience over hope but even I predicted 16,000 for FNF as a first home game.

Personally id like to see Roosters relocate to Central Coast because Roosters supporters dont get to the game when they are losing. There are only a few die hards and those die hards would travel to the central coast im sure. Aswell as obviously Central Coast people getting a team and one less sydney team.

Penrith and Cronulla are fine, after one round 1 with crappy weather they should be out of the comp? Thats a bit unfair.

I find it really frustrating that the roosters who are the only link left along with Souths to the old days, are constantly singled out for criticism when Sydneysiders yet again as usual don't turn out to a game as happened at Shark Park and as has happened not at Kog. leave the Roos alone.

In recent years more people have attended the "poorly supported" Roos home games than several other so called well supported Sydney sides.

Fact is tht NO Sydney club draws as it should. fact is ALL of them struggle to draw when losing onfield. Why just pick on Sharks and Easts when no one is immune and everyone equally guilty? last year Easts averaged 13,600 at home in a poor year. That's par for the course in Sydney and we got 14,000 plus the year before and 18,000 plus which is huge by Sydney standards in 2005.

12K for the first home game at Kogarah against the Knights is nothing short of pathetic. Was it raining there last night? I only ask because that's the usual tired and worn out excuse (cop out) we hear ad nauseam whenever we have such a dismal crowd in the games heartland. Try as anyone might, there's just no way you can defend this one.

Perfect weather the whole night through at Pemriff. Can't see why it would be any different out Kogarah way.

When i first saw the tele i thought the Penrith crowd was shame but it was actually very good.

The Pemriff crowd was impressive, both hills were full and it was just the middle bays of Eastern CUA empty (which is dumb - a Nein game means they should sell those tickets FIRST). Early on it looked like there was plenty of Dogs support there - perhaps an even amount, but then the tide turned and once Pemriff got on a roll it was clear how big in numbers their fans had turned up.

The same fixture in the same round last season drew 17,400 to wollongong so perhaps you have a point. However the Dragons home average last season was 13,800. Below the league average. This year they start with 12,400 Let's be brutally honest. There is not a shred of evidence to support the claim that they are "the best supported club".

No offence to the Dragons on here. no offence at all but let's can the "best and biggest' claim because it is nonsense.

Something is clearly rotten in certain team attendances in NSW. FFS...that St George crowd is disgustingly low.

Surely it can't be because Gasnier is injured? FFS...Knights v Dragons - round 2 - Friday Night Footy!

Surely we dont need to relocate the Dragons or merge them...again.

PS - Good job Penrith crowd too...You guys actually had an excuse not to turn up after last week's effort - but you showed something a few other club supporters could learn about - resilience.

I was one of those people who went straight from work (North Sydney) to Penrith... Shame the Boyz didn't produce but that's footy.

This is one of the problems with Boutique grounds such as Kogarah. Their are lots of Dragons supporters I know who don't like going to this ground. They don't believe the factilities and viewing angles are good enough for the price of admission.

People want top class factilities at games. 2-3 matches a year at these boutique grounds is more than enough.

12 hours later and I'm still scratching my head about that crowd. It's woeful and reminds me of the crowds that dissapointed me last season. Then again, for the last few seasons we've started off with (a) dodgy crowd(s) but got into better numbers after a couple of weeks so hopefully the trend continues.

Having said that, the thing that suprised me the most wasn't so much the low attendence but the low official figure in comparison to the apparent size of the crowd. I had predicted a 15k crowd on another forum and at about kick-off time I thought that my prediction was quite accurate. The grandstand/western concourse was packed. The northern terrace was quite full and the hill was heavily populated. To me it looked like a 15k or so crowd.

I truly do not see where they could've packed another 8k people into Jubilee last night. Oh well, one of the mysteries of life I guess.

They were usually lucky to get above 10k at the SFS when they were based there.

The Dragons problem is that the do have a big supporter base, it just happens that most of them live In the Bush and in Queensland.

It's a hell of a lot more central than Kogarah is. I'm not saying take all games away, just some of the bigger games like the Dogs and Souths.
