Well, with England raising the Federation Shield er... shield, that brings the UK league events to a close for another year. Time to get ready for next season!
Evil Homer has the In and Outs sticky thread happening, and will take care of the Squads thread when they're announced. I'll be doing some work on the website to get the fiddly details about teams and draws, and players and stats all set up, but does anyone else have any ideas on what could make this place better in 2007?
Now's your chance, please speak up and we'll see if it's possible to get it happening...
Here's some ideas from me to kick things off:
1. If you are interested in writing one-off articles on areas of interest, please send an email to website@leagueunlimited.com and talk it through with Matt Starkey and the crew. One-offs can also become regular if people have the inclination and all goes well.
2. If you are interested in collecting or summarising news items for the website, please contact Matt or Willow, or feel free to ask questions of myself. We can work on accommodating any areas of interest in this, while still making sure we're giving a reliable and equal spread of coverage.
3. Finally if the backend website stuff is more your scene, and you're keen to help with an idea then let me know here or by PM. We'll see what's scheduled to be done and how any new ideas might fit in, the more hands on deck the better!
I'm usually careful not to aim too high with ideas, without being able to back it up through the whole season. Instead just trying to increase things a little at a time. But if ideas never get mentioned, then never stand a chance of happening.
The forums and website wouldn't be able to exist were it not for people liking them enough to keep coming back, so speak your mind here and help it be what you'd like it to be.
