Thats exactly it. The rankings mean jack sh*t so long as you do well in the exam and have done well during the year.

my motivation has was lost since the trials too, i was a soul-less for a while (i probably still am now)

but i had to pick myself up cause i did sh*t in english as usual and i want to do good in it for once - 31% or something like that :shock:. at work im doing study when there is f**k all to do cause im desperate to do well (hopefully get an average of around 60%)

I'm starting to sh*t myself a bit though cause I have English on Fri & Mon and won't be able to study enough for Maths on Thurs..

not stressing at all, compared to others, i hate school and still do..im doing well with my current job (pool lifeguard and other stuff) and will go from there

Studying hours on end doesn't necessarily help - I can't imagine it would be good for stress levels. I hope he's relaxing. It's more about how and what you study that will benefit you or not. I hope for his sake that he does pretty damn well in the HSC since he is dedicating that much time to studying.

There are people at my school who have been bragging about their study hours, but it will be the same case as it has been all year I reckon - I'll do minimal study, study that counts, and I'll still kick their ass.

Anyway, what did I do in my holidays? I had fun, and now I'm doing a few hours of revision to get in the groove, feeling pretty confident too.

Its in 2 days now (If you're being pedantic and saying it's now the 15th) so bit later for that... but honestly, cramming the week before works a hell of a lot better than consistent study for me.
