Woohoo footy is back!

Bulldogs forwards look weak IMO.

Bench looks ok though, and they're probably fielding the shortest wing combo in the game, that can't be good.

Ben Roberts has to be the luckiest man in league, he has been unreliable on and off the field.

I've said this before, personally I think he and Holdsworth are confidence players, very good when paired with a quality half (i.e. Sherwin), but lacking when they've got noone to play off. I think both/either will have a good season beside Noddy.

Roberts/Holdsworth are just holding the spot for the first month or so while Barba is eased in. He (Barba) impressed in the trial I saw and will start at 6 soon enough.

What role is Ben Barba playing? Is he going to be a reserve hooker or swap with Roberts? He is a quality player of the future no doubt.

I dare say Moore wants a back up if Roberts turns to putty, which is entirely possible. That said, not sure there'll be a need for him.

Utai's been great in the trials so I'm surprised to see him dropped for Goodwin.

Don't forget they're already missing Wolfman and possibly even Stewart - that's some strikepower in the backs they will sorely miss.

A pack containing Hannant, Ennis, Ryan & Stag and you call them weak?

I reckon there's some decent players in that lot.
