With just a year to go until the tens end its time to look at the great players who were awarded the baggy green during this time and ponder who will get one in 2019.

It started off well with Ryan Harris being awarded the first baggy green of the new decade (number 413) in 2010.

Unfortunately Rhyno didn't make the hall of fame, although these legends did:
Peter George
Xavier Doherty
Michael Beer
Trent Copeland
Matthew Wade
Rob Quiney
John Hastings
Moises Henriques
Glen Maxwell
Ashton Agar
James Faulkner
Alex Doolan
Mitchell Marsh
Jon Holland
Callum Ferguson
Joe Mennie
Nic Maddison
Hilton Cartwright
Chadd Sayers
Aaron Finch
Marnus Labuschagne

Honourable mentions:
Shaun Marsh
Adam Voges

Hopes for Hilton Carwright. And the impressively talented Glenn 'Big Show' Maxwell.

Just about every one of those players wouldn’t have made a Shield side 20 years ago. Sad as f**k.

In fairness there are probably a few there who deserved more of a go than they got...

Doolan probably deserved more of a shot given some of the blokes who have had chances since then. Very nice technical batsman with a Test match mindset.

Ferguson deserved much more of a chance once they picked him. One match in which he was run out by his captain in one innings was a bit harsh.

Some may laugh, but I think Moises Henriques deserved more of a chance. Or at least deserved to be treated better. He's a very handy cricketer, but they did a bit of a Phil Hughes on him. Especially bringing him back for Sri Lanka having not played cricket in a year, that was ridiculous.

Faulkner played one test, 6 wickets and 60 runs...then dropped forever. Harsh.

Hilton Cartwright didn't do an awful lot wrong, especially compared to others who have been given more of a chance...

Didn't noughties end like 9 years ago?

Victim of Steve Smith’s infamous press conference. Another reason Smith had to go down with the ship. His team, his players.

Averages 33.8 in first class cricket.

That qualifies him for at least eight more call-ups, based on other selections!

I don't particularly think he'd have been a star, but he's certainly the kind of player we've needed in the side in terms of his approach. At least he's capable of building a partnership and hanging around. Given some other selections, he probably deserved a bit more of a go.

Pasting and Mennie lol, when did they play a test. I thought they were just part of that awful side we sent somewhere to get flogged in an ODI series.

Mennie played in the infamous Hobart test. Did nothing...

I think Hastings played one test against South Africa.

In Perth ahead of Haze lol.

Gee what a list of Plod.

Haha oh yeah that was it. And SA won by a zillion AND took the number one spot? ABDV pongoed us all over Perth...

Great selection. Christ we've had some ordinary blokes picking the side for ages now
