Titans didn't make it up due to time restrictions (kick off was at 2pm) meaning they would of had to leave by 6am at the latest, with work not finishing till after 6 for most of them for employment reasons they canceled.

The Canning Bulldogs reserve grade only had a limited number of players, a combination of 1st and reserve grade took on the Warriors. The warriors were 30 - 10 up at half time, and ended up winning 76 to 20.

With injuries and work committments preventing some of the better players coming up from bunbury it will be difficult for Darren Shaw to pick his best 13 men to run out against Rockingham in the 1st game proper, espically with that performance today.

Talking to Darren after the game, he wasn't overally impressed with the team performance with a lapse in consentration mid way thru the last half. with the heat hovering around 36 the mental aspect was bigger and deeper than the physical.

Next week another test for the warriors up at Joondalup.

Week 2 of the Pre Season is this saturday and will be played at Larkhill Sportsplex Rockingham) and Charles Riley Reserve (North Beach)

Fremantle v South Perth @ Larkhill
Rockingham v Kalamunda @ Larkhill
North Beach v Willagee @ Charles Riley
Joondalup v Goldfields* & South West @ Charles riley

*Goldfields have pulled out so it will only be Joondalups Reserve Grade playing south west on Saturday....not exactly an ideal way to prepare for the season opener next week!!

The season is finally here and promises to be a very tough competition for 2011. From all reports, the recruiting has been on in earnest and we look forward to seeing the improved talent on the field.

2011 will also see the introduction of a six team under 18 competition to be run on the Saturday afternoon prior to premier grade. When the 18’s are scheduled the First Grade game will be moved back from 3.00pm to 3.30pm and the LeagueTag will kick off at 11.50.

We look forward to seeing good crowds appreciating their local Rugby League this year.
