So, how does your squad look this season and what would you expect the strongest line up to be? Also are there any kids you are looking forward to seeing come through?
At Leeds the squad is:
1. Brent Webb (NZ)
2. Lee Smith
3. Brett Delaney (Aus)
4. Keith Senior
5. Ryan Hall
6. Danny McGuire
7. Rob Burrow
8. Kylie Leuluai (Sam)
9. Danny Buderus (Aus)
10. Jamie Peacock
11. Jamie Jones-Buchanan
12. Carl Ablett
13. Kevin Sinfield (c)
14. Ali Lauitiiti (Sam) -SR
15. Ben Cross (Aus) - PR
16. Ryan Bailey - PR
17. Ian Kirke - SR
18. Luke Burgess - PR
19. Kallum Watkins - C
20. Weller Hauraki (NZ) - SR
21. Chris Clarkson - LF
22. Jay Pitts - SR
23. Ben Jones-Bishop - FB
24. Paul McShane - HK

30. Liam Hood - HK
31. Callum Casey - FE
For me im looking forward to seeing Watkins get game time this season. The lads a freak and IMHO will go on to be the top centre in the country. The size he has put on since last year is immense and he is still quick and has bag loads of agility. He ripped Wakey open at will in the 1st half on Saturday. He's gone from this...
A skinny kid last season to this...
http://rlphotos.fotopic.net/p68582870.html over the off season. Im hoping to see Senior spelled in the forwards to make room for Watkins as the year goes by.
Chris Clarkeson is another young guy who is an exciting prospect. He came in last season when we were depleted by injuries in the second row and made that much of an impact that when the "stars" came back he kept his place in the starting line up and kept them out.
Jared Stewart is a young 2nd row who was in the England Academy team that beat Australian Schoolboys 2-0 last month. I have not seen much of him but im hoping to this season. Spell him in for a few games and give him some experience.
The team when fully fit IMO though will be
Webb
Smith
Delaney
Senior
Hall
McGuire
Burrow
Bailey
Buderus
Peacock
Jones-Buchanan
Ablett
Sinfield
Lauitiiti
Cross
Leuluai
Hauraki
McShane
Just shows the depth though now with Kirke, Watkins, Burgess, Ben Jones-Bishop, McShane, Pitts and Clarkson are al fighting for a bench spot.
Im looking forward to this seaon, especially after getting a glance of the new style we will be playing on Saturday.
