The only real complaint I have about so many dogs awards is the fact between Reynolds and barba, they took 52 points out a total 78. That leaves one point for the other team members on two sides over the season. Now I have no bone on Barba, he was easily the best at the Dogs, but in the end, the top 4 is only 4 points apart. It isn't like they dominated that hard all season. To score two thirds of the points on two players implies they are a 2 man show. Either the points were not distributed fairly, or they didn't have the best on the paddock in other positions.

Yeah and he should have won

And why is that? based on the fact he scored 3 more tries than uate?

Tries - Uate 18 - Graham 21
Metres Gained - Uate 3080 - Graham 2350
Lines Breaks - Uate 25 - Graham 19
Tackle Breaks - Uate 112 - Graham 54
Missed Tackles - Uate 20 - Graham 18
Offloads - Uate 11 - Graham 7
Errors - Uate 26 - Graham 19

Uate was poor in Origin, but his club season was still ahead of anyone else, despite being down in 2010/2011.

Only Kas and Morris are questionable, the rest are spot on.

Myles is maybe a little questionable because he only played 6 games in the second row for the Titans this year (+ 2 off the bench, 2 at lock and 12 at prop).

Well considering how hard it is to win points in a beaten team I think Woods and Matulino deserve the award more than Kasiano, if someone could pull up their stats I'm sure they'd be well ahead of Kasiano

Tamou - 150.7m/game
Woods 138.8m/game
Scott 137.25m/game
Matulino 126.5m/game
Kasiano 97m/game
McGuire 99.7m/game

At the end of the day Barba is a damn exciting player to watch and that is what gets the votes. Winning the Dally M in my opinion does not really mean you are the games best all round player. Look at the results over the past few season, the guys at the top of the leader board are all the players that are exciting to watch and stand out. Barba could do nothing for 70 minutes but if he score 1 or 2 tries in the last 10 mins he will get points as the tries are generally pretty freakish.

Good job Einstein except there's 6 points available each game not 3 so they took 52 points out of 156. I feel bad that you used up all your brain power trying to be intelligent.

actually, it would be 144 ( 24 games per club or a maximum of 24 per player taking State Of Origin into account )

They should really scrap player of the year and have two major awards, dally m back of the year and dally m forward of the year

The system is way, way too slanted towards rewarding the skillset of backs. It requires something completely different as a forward. When is the last time a forward won Dally M player of the year? Even if deserved
