Typical team.

Couple of selections based purely on reputation or first grade experience rather than NYC form.

They chose the wrong Rooster forward.

Dylan Napa is good. But how Kane Evans didn't get selected, I will never know. The amount of times he has basically manhandled an opposition forward pack by himself is ridiculous.

Evans only played 15 games this season, I'm sure that played some part in his exclusion.

What is the point in releasing this team 2 weeks before the end of the season? Surely it could've just as easily have been announced at the Dally M's?

Evans was suspended twice which apparently makes him ineligible. Fair enough, still Sao > Napa.

Whilst the majority of players will not make first grade from NYC, the team of the year has a great strike rate at doing it.
Make this team and your approx. 75% chance of going further

Lol Lil Pete probably saw 2 games of Napa.

And you probably haven't watched one game from Sao.

Napa is good & his front row combination with Evans is arguably the best in the NYC but when individually compared to Sao he just isn't as good.

Sao has been the Warriors best this year for mine.

Been a few standouts this year,Pete.
Sao, Bhana, Palavi, Lolohea, and Carlos.

That team surprised me..

What happened with likiliki?

Sao definately deserved inclusion.
He will get player of the year for the warriors imo

He has played all but one game.
Plays massive minutes and runs for 200m most games. (well it seems like that dont know the stats)

Klemmer is a beast, but he doesnt do much on defense for me.
Seems to play for the stats.

Napa and Evans definately the best prop combo in the nyc
They are both quality and definately NRL potential.

Know the roosters just need a good nrl coach to work with the best recruitment officer in the game

No other warriors demanded inclusion imo.
Palavi has been alright.

Sao averaged 135m per game. His issue was more with consistency.

In 10 of his 21 games he made 150+ metres including a monster game in round 7 where he made 291 metres. However in 7 of his 21 games he also made less than 100 metres.

consistency....he was the best players for arguably the best team
He played every game and played big minutes.

He had no issues with consistency....obviously people making the decisions werent as smart as they think they are.

Remember he also played for a team, where plenty of blokes run for big metres.
Again blokes like Klemmer....play for stats.

Thats said no way should of tuimavave made the team.
picked on name/talent not form.

Napa is a gun but he spent a bit of time in nsw cup didnt he

That is a pretty stupid statement. Very actually!

No surprise he hasn't made an impact yet. Physically dominant in NYC, but also some very worrying signs of a poor mentality. Need a bit of smarts to make a go of it in first grade and he rarely showed a hint of it.

Wouldn't say caught up in size, he's not as big ad some of the monsters that have played NYC before him his problem is somewhat similar to Konrad Hurrell, he's so good at running over his opponents that other parts of his game are lacking. In NSW cup he looks unstoppable at times but other times he looks abit lost. Thing with NYC is the defenders aren't as committed, in NSW cup and 1st grade your playing against grown men who generally put their bodies on the line alot more so there's gotto be more to your game then just running over people

Are you eligible to win Player of the Year if you made the bench of that team? Because dead-set i was comparing stats between Mitch Cornish the starting 7 and Keary on the bench and Keary is quite easily streets ahead of him.

In the one extra game Keary has played, Cornish will have to accumulate.

7 tries
5 line-breaks
3 line-break assists
6 try assists
11 offloads
6 tackle busts

Makes 0.7 less runs for 31.1 metres less

and makes 5.7 tackles less a game and misses 0.8 tackles more.

Keary has him comfortably with every stat barring a dominant running game may eclipse him tackle breaks wise however would need at least 7.

If Cornish wins POTY i will be massively pissed.
