2012 Year Long Membership Study

I had it sent to me in the last week and am just filling it out now.

Some interesting questions regarding what I value in a membership, whether my clubs performance effects my decision on whether to buy a membership or my view on the season as a whole, and some questions around what I would like to see added to my membership benefits.

Anyone else been sent this survey? Apparently two more will be sent to me - one at the end of the season and one in the 2013 preseason.

Yeah I put in my 2 cents worth regarding benefits in particular.

I mentioned that to increase memberships they need to build the value much more than currently. I said they needed to make people think that they can't NOT afford to purchase a membership. My suggestion was club member discounts for away games featuring your club and also general discounts for members who attend a match as a neutral (smaller discount than for attending away games for your club).

I also mentioned that they need to discount public transport for members but I doubt the NSW Government would get on board with that.

Those sorts of things didn't come to mind for me... I think I was thinking too specifically about my club rather than game-wide - some good points you raised there. Hope they listen!

Yes very detailed but some good questions in there.

Do people tend to agree that the crappy merchandise you get with your membership offers little to no value?

I personally would rather they either don't bother with that crap and put the extra money towards some better benefits for members, or offer some better merchandise.

Yeah your thinking along the same lines as me.

I'm pretty sure some clubs have members jerseys. I'd like to see the Dragons have a personalised member jersey with our name and year we became a member embroidered under the team logo. I'm not sure if that would be "too expensive" to give away to each member though.

It wouldnt be a give away option. It would be like the sharks members jersey which costs you $200 each season as an add on.
