Wasn't Thursday shown on Gem? Did they have a special episode of Hoarders or a premiere movie from the 30's to show?
Mediaweek's Twitter has Thursday's GEM at 45k (Melb 36k, Adel 6k, Per 3k) but I cant link to the tweet.
It was but it wasn't listed at the time of the ratings being released. Didn't crack the top 20 multichannel programs for that night so can't have been too good. EDIT: right you are flapper. Was a reply to someone - GEM Mel 36k Ade 6k Per 3k
Thanks, good to see because otherwise Gem is the biggest waste of space, I've watched more TVSN than Gem probably.
That's not true I've watched the two WCCs, the Roosters game during the Olympics last year as well as a movie the other week. My point still stands that it's a shit channel.
Considering the teams playing Sunday Night Football is a massive hit. Surely would have been approaching 400k if it was Dogs/Cowboys on Sunday instead.
Might be worthwhile making a version of this thread that's kept discussion free so the info doesn't get lost, similar to how the crowd thread used to be.
It would be great if regional figures were included! Still very impressive compared to other "rival" codes.
Who would have thought that would happen? Actually 51K is pretty damn good for a game not involving the storm especially when you compare it to what the AFL get in the same circumstances. Kinda shows the importance of the Melbourne market. Also at the moment big storm games basically have the highest potential of any NRL games to rate and i'm surprised we don't see them more on Friday night. Storm v broncos or any big Sydney team right now will bring in more ratings than any other game we can show no doubt about it.
