Went to tuggies game.
Victory played Berisha Thompson Valeri etc.
They scored 3 each half.

Speed against the Tuggs players was amazing.

My mate Rowan tried hard in goals but yeah was a tough ask

Was 4-0 at the break. I thought the Tuggies looked a little more organised once they moved Toole into the midfield and put a specialist defender on against Paine, who looked dangerous.

Thought the #10 for the Tuggies had plenty of flair, but was lazy as all hell when it came to tracking back or having a dig once his teammates inevitably squandered the ball he fed them.

Cracking crowd. 5,150 is a huge turnout for a suburban club.

Canberra and Wollongong have both turned out in force when they've had the opportunity this year. It can't be doing their hopes of eventual A-League inclusion any harm.

yes and no

i think the gong should have a team

canberra....

we got good crowd at the Kuwait AFC qualifier game where we lost when verbeek was coach.
the a league games haven't drawn that much but whatever

the tuggs game got 5k because it was cheap, there was weird interest cos suddenly they were playing a proper team.
if they had a home tie against say..Sydney United or Marconi..maybe a couple of k less.

never the less its a good thing for canberra

the problem for canberra and a bid IMO is the venue. GIO is in a shit spot. theres nothing around it.
so if the team isnt going great people are less incentivised to go. thats a real issue for raiders games as well.

Viking Park is at least near things, for one a club to go and have a few pre and post game beets, and theres plenty of places to eat in Erindale.

it would be awesome...if there was a rectangular ground in Civic, Woden or Manuka.

Bruce is lame
