Roosters two home games have big drawing potential vs Broncos/Souths. However, since it's the Roosters low chance of drawing big crowds when they should. Big win streak yet crowds still don't show it's a problem for all that success yet no bandwagon. Any other team would have a bandwagon of support by now.
The Cows draw a 16k crowd against the Raiders on a Saturday, no excuses for Roosters to get a blockbuster crowd against Broncos on a Saturday.
3 games at gosford crammed into 5 weekends...
and the dogs did nil promotion... got what it deserved.
They started promoting it the moment they announced it, including setting up a specialised membership for the game. Also did a team appearance on the Coast on Saturday night.
Might be worth checking that sort of thing before saying dumb shit?
I wouldn't consider stadia with a capacity over 30,000 as small.
bulldogs v souths next friday should get 40k
AAMI Park highest ever crowd 29,800
Cbus stadium highest ever crowd 27,200
Central coast highest ever crowd 20,000
I think if you're going to compare central coast with Gold Coast then Melbourne deserves to be compared as well.
Official crowd at Gosford was surprisingly poor. 11,021
being a parra fan took the kids and a wife to the sfs for last nights game. i dont really look at pricing before a game cause i pay at the gate.
yesterday cost me
- $20 parking at sydney boys high
- $88 for tickets
- $60 for drinks , food and other junk
Thats a total of a $166 for 2hrs worth of entertainment, I'm also pretty sure they were the cheapest family tickets available. There is no way i could afford the head out every second week with the kids , and there lies the problem. It should be a regular outing taking your family to the game instead it becomes a once or twice year event
I know clubs do promotions for family passes and cheap tickets but it should be the norm not the exception.
really an extra 10000 at the game is so much healthier than those same 10000 watching on fox or channel nine
I know a they pay a lot of money for the rights but i such a bad look for the game .
I personally think its a much worse look for the game having empty stadiums then anything any player does on or off the field
Cheaper match day experience is a huge start
Serve themselves right for not bringing it to Perth lol.

Cute, except we only drew 12,014 v Storm two years ago at nib Stadium.
Serves us right.
