Jarryd Hayne is legally and psychologically committed to the San Francisco 49ers, unless they release him to another NFL club, until at least late August 2016. He is a good bet to be playing NFL, for the 49ers or another club, from September 2016 onwards.

I've been doing some previews for clubs in 2016 on my facebook page and i'm trying to construct the best lineup. With all the talk of Copley in for Jennings, would they still persist with Ferguson at fullback?

So many different variants...

1. Ferguson/Mitchell
2. Burgess/Copley/Mitchell
3. Copley/Ferguson
4. Kenny-Dowall
5. Tupou

Mitchell would want to have improved immensely pre season if he's ready for first his first season at FB now. Not even RTS was capable of that. I don't want Fergo at FB but we have no other real options. I trust Robbo's judgement tho and can only assume he knows what's best for this side.

Losing a quality FB and a top notch half and goal kicking freak is going to hurt us immensely. Arguably we have the best forward pack in the league but that will only get us so far.

Assuming Jennings is gonski I'd like to see Fergs play in the centres to protect SKD defensively but in reality he'll likely end up at fullback so maybe Aubs will end up in the backline permantly.

Who knows? Interesting times ahead.

Well with Jennings gone, I think it will look like this....

SKD or Maubs (if SKD court case goes pearshaped)

Come origin time we will see Mitchell and Nikorima (if Pearce manages to get a spot)

When injuries hit we may see the two above or possibly Elliot, Manu, Taylor even Connor Watson as depth in the backs.

Wild card could be Nikorima who can play pretty much any position in the backs and also No 9.
