You cant know what his intent was.all we know is he threw the ball over an opponents head which is illegal. He didn't juggle the ball. He threw it and caught it quiet cleanly.

You can't judge intent so this now allows players to awkwardly throw the ball forward to himself and claim it to be an accident. How can you prove otherwise?

This 100%

You've nailed it.
They have set a very dangerous precedent now.

His intent. It is tony f**king williams.

Grow a brain you lot. His intent was to not knock the ball on.

He knocked it on though.

Was lucky that no dragon touched it and that he regathered.

Just a once off freak accident.

You morons with your tin foil hats

It was actually the other second hand that passed it forward not the hand hit by the Dragons player.

I'm surprised Patten didn't rule that his right hand was accidently offside after his left hand unintentionally propelled the ball forward.

The rules ask for a judgement on intent so whether you like it or not that is what the refs need to do. I don't see how anyone could see it as intentional. He was shaping to pass out the back but got grabbed from behind just as he went to pass and it slipped out forward. It was pure luck not skill

I can't stand the dogs but its a try every day of the week. The bunker can't just make up a rule because it doesn't look right...

Every time a ball runner gets belted by a defender and juggles the ball but re-gathers it without it touching another player, do we give a knock on or play on?

If it slipped out forward, it is a forward pass, intentional or not. What they ruled is that it hit his other arm after the pass. I don't know if that is what actually happened, but that is what was ruled.

Dogs were way too good for us today. We deserve to lose with the dumb game plan given by our coach and the ridiculous RGRV strategy. How we play a home game at the opposition's home ground is completely beyond me.

Our halves were completely geniused and we capitulated after the Tony Williams selfie pass.

That's not even comparable. Williams was passing the ball. The ball went forward. He wasn't juggling the ball. I don't know why it matters if it was an 'accident'. That implies most forward passes are deliberate, which they're not.
