You've got to feel for Apisai Koroisau and Lewis Brown. For the second successive year they find themselves at a club utterly decimated by injuries.

Penrith have defensive issues and will appreciate the drop in standard of the opposition. They may be strong favourites at Brookvale for the first time in a decade or more, but if they're not careful they'll get their pants pulled down. Teams seem to be able to jag a try against them whenever it is most needed. This is the first of three highly winnable games.

I think the Panthers in a close tussle. I note Manly with no bench were still able to score the last 2 tries against Canberra, so it seems there is a fair amount of spirit in the side.

Manly looked horrible against us. Yeah they got a few tries after the Raiders started goofing off but they are the worst forward pack we have played this year by miles...even worse than the knights who actually lifted against us. Panthers should be too good imo. Still you never know.

EDIT

Actually the tigers were worse

If Panthers lose this they're gone for the season. A depleted Sea Eagles side is probably the second easiest team you could ask for after a full strength Knights side

He should not have been signed in the first place, absolute crap over-rated hack of a player..

In regards to the game, no discipline by a very poorly coach team...Supercoach Barrett...

Dropping Soward and putting Bryce in at 5/8 could either backfire or be a masterstroke.

I think we need to win this game, or most likely won't be making the top 8, or certainly not being any kind of threat this season. I don't think we can win the comp but a few weeks ago I would have fancied us making a run similar to that of 2014, but that's all gone if we lose to Barrett's Manly.

I've seen him play 5/8 in the 20's & I'm sure he had a game or two in the reserves. He even filled in for prop if I'm not mistaken.

Cartwright and Cleary hopefully will play a natural halves game. The score I think,if the rain appears again, will be even around half-time,with us pouring on plenty in the 2nd half.;-)

Peachey vs Trbojevic
Cleary vs Koriosau
Cartwright vs Walker

Some really weird match ups in this one and for me it makes it quite a lottery. Hard to know how either halves pairing will go, a lot will depend on the 9's in this one.

Panthers kicking game will be interesting to see.

Manly by 4

And yet,you didn't vote Manly on the game poll.(it's at the top of this page you know)

Going for Manly yet hiding behind a "no vote" for fear of looking the odd one out.Not that being odd is anything new to you.

If I were Manly I would remove the ugly green blob. It should be clear by now that they aren't going to get the $1m. It might in some small way motivate the players that they are part of a club that doesn't take shite.

Perhaps the green blob is some sort of karma for putting 70th season on your jumper, when it is in fact only Manly's 67th season.

While Manly maintain the logo they are not in breach of contract. While Coco maintain non payment they are in breach. Its fairly simple.
