Taking the 2 points into our bye week is going to be handy.

Raiders may have won 3 in a row, but those have been against sides who have been out of form and missing key personnel. Those 3 wins mean nothing if they can't beat the Broncos this Thursday.

Honestly the Raiders arent going to win 4 in a row its laughable. we are really thin on outside backs. Oates is probably going to be marking up on a rookie.

We tend to turn off during games and the Broncos should be good enough to punish us.

On the other hand we should beat them in the forwards. I just think we struggle against sides that can slide well in defence and muscle up to deal with sticky ball. The Broncos are one of those sides.

Should be a good game though. If we compete for 80 minutes I will be reasonably happy.

The Broncos will be a mile in front at half time with a mountain of possession. The Raiders, being a pretty fair side at times, will awaken and get a share of the ball in the second half and get back into it, but the home side will win. Ricky will burst a blood vessel at the presser.

Ricky has been pretty calm since taking over the Raiders. Not that he might not flip out but he didnt flip about the refs literally not knowing the rules against the Panthers.

Probably something like this. A "too little too late" effort from us.

I can't see us losing this, Wayne sounded really bullish in the presser last week that we'd put in a big performance this week against the Raiders and at home after 3 consecutive losses, I would be suggesting he is right

Actually looking at some stats we are pretty similar in attack. Broncos and Raiders have more or less the same for (broncos a point better), Raiders are first in the comp for line breaks and tackle busts and the Bronx are second and third respectively. They both have about the same amount of run metres. Neither are big offloading teams.

Defensively though. The broncos are much better at retaining the ball. They have the best possession percentage in the comp, the Raiders all the way down at 13th in that stat, the raiders have surprisingly missed less tackles but I always feel with the raiders we have a knack at missing key tackles. Errors though is appalling we are number 1 in the comp for them. Also we concede way too many points still. We are like 9th for points conceded (ie letting the least points in) and the Bronx are 5th.

Should be a good game but when it matters the Raiders just dont have the defensive chops. They have improved a lot this year but not enough. I hope BJ has a good game because Bronco fans hate him for some reason.

Game thread already getting a lot of traffic.

Every time the Raiders get something good going for them, like stringing a few wins together then they come up against a heavy weight and get blown off the park

That's what I reckon will happen here, and Brisbane will be back to their best

Broncos need more from their young pups I feel. Jo ofahengaue is down for 0 runs on nrlstats.com against the Warriors!

Looking forward to this one, it's going to be a tough match for both sides but credit to the boys, footy was the winner on the one week at a time.

As honest as that assessment my be I think the Raiders have the side to really punish us if we keep playing like we have been.

Yeah i dont really like our chances here, we've struggled under Stuart being sides who defend stoutly and that's certainly what the Broncos will do

Im hoping to see us compete really well, push them to their limits and be in the game in the final 10. If that happens, ill be fine with the result win or lose.

I think we're going to get plenty of cracks at the broncos line, our forward pack really should get the job done here, but unless Austin/Sezer/Hodgson have a big games, i dont think we can crack them enough to win a game.
Oates up against a rookie or Brenko Lee is going to be a very, very bad match up for us.

I fear Jordy Raps at fullback for us, and BJ might be due for a stinker too. We'll see.
