The weather in Sydney has me very, very worried about this game.

Not only because it will stunt our attack but Brookie will be an absolute quagmire and the idea of an injury to a key player in Rd. 25 with our best chance to win the whole damn thing since '94 gives me chills.

You only have to look at his one on one defence to see how much he's improved. This year his goal line defence has been tremendous. He's been putting his body in the way of some big units and saved some tries. Last year they would have run straight through him.

Its happened to plenty, but Croker got destroyed by the Hurrellcane a fair few times in NZ the past couple of years. Wouldnt happen now.

Croker has always struggled on two fronts.

1. He struggled against much larger players
2. He would make silly errors if he didnt trust the players around him.

2 has largely been fixed by getting rid of campo lol (poor Campo but he could barely move at the end) and so far he is getting good contact on bigger blokes.

Just heard on radio 2ue that Austin could be out for the season with a busted hand. If that is true its a major blow for the raiders

The preliminary finals are 4 weeks away. It would have to be a very nasty hand injury indeed that Austin couldn't play in 4 weeks, needled if necessary.
