Frank Hyde used to say things like this too. You have to be over 50 and from NSW to remember him.

We used to hassle "Frantic Frank" so we would get heard over the radio after fulltime at Penrith Park.He used to broadcast from the sideline whilst sitting at a card table. Roy & H.G. used this way of calling their S.O.O. matches and Grand Finals in homage to Frank Hyde.

He would shout out "go away young fellows!!" with his raspy voice. One of his famous lines was "And at the end of the day,I'll be presenting the man of the match with a Seiko Watch".

Frank was the radio caller on 2SM. He also played for Newtown and Norths in the 1940s. He used to sit on a chair on the sideline and do his call unassisted. He was famous for saying "Its long enough, its high enough...." when kicks for goal were taken (often from halfway in those days). I think he retired in 1983 and died aged 91 in 2007.

In the summer,me and a couple of mates would venture to Manly Beach. We sometimes go to Queenscliff beach which is the northern end of Manly.

Over the years,I spotted him at least 6 times on the beach walking with his wife.

I'll never forget that.
