And I think it'll be ineffective against well-drilled, smart sides like the Storm. But we'll see. I see this year as a trial run. I expect us to make a real tilt next season.

What evidence is there that TMM is a hooker in the making though? (Not criticizing, btw; I truly don't know).

I can't really make a call on what we should do regarding Edwards/TMM (because that's pretty much what it comes down to... I think we lose one of those guys regardless when contracts are up if we keep DWZ and Mansour) because I haven't seen Edwards play enough. Realistically though, if we re-sign DWZ, Edwards will be gone because Griffin has no interest in shifting Moylan.

None. My reasoning is we have Moylan who is a 6. Cleary is obviously our 7. Edwards is a gun fullback. Te Maire Martin is way too good to drop and hooker is our weakness. I think of our spine he's the most likely to be capable of adapting to hooker.

It could be an epic fail. But if it worked it sets us up for a decade... that's why I hope we consider it. If it fails we are stuck with what we have and continuing to look for a Wallace successor.

Every area needs a specialty dish.

Knights have had an ordinary half, it's going to happen. Done well the first 3 weeks but they'll have their dips here and there.

I don't think Cartwright has ever cost us a game but he's not nearly as good as he should be at this stage. He's stagnated a bit. He strikes me as someone who would believe his own hype, and he needs to spend less energy inseminating chicks and more fixing his weaknesses.
