It's only Newcastle it doesn't matter. Wait til it happens to a team the NRL gives a shit about and Greentard will make comment.
He'd only get involved if it was a Sydney team - but then again - it'd never happen to a Sydney team...

Do any neutrals think both teams were reffed the same in that game?

Not at all, Cronulla were allowed to do whatever they wanted in the ruck, there were 3-4 times were they blatantly stripped the ball in 2 on 1 tackles and got away with it. As stated before, the refs had in mind who they thought should win the game.

I'm completely neutral - actually I tipped the Sharks so I wanted them to win - but that was hideous officiating. It really is at an all time low this year. The hatchet job the refs did on the storm in the first half last week is the most blatant act of cheating I can remember. Fortunately the storm were too good/Tigers too bad for it to matter on that occasion - but that's a rarity.

This wasn't quite that bad, but that doesn't mean it wasn't disgraceful.

Get some perspective, Simona had the Sharks 1-12

Im pretty proud of the Knights effort - with such little ball we would have gone down by 40 last season.

The improvement has been seen in all bar one game. Just wish the refs and Hodko would stop f**king us over. With such an inexperienced spine Hodkinson should be embarrassed that he's consistently our biggest issue. Jesus even if freaking Kidley was still playing we would have won that.

The refs helped you guys as much as possible in that game.

Lucky we played like sh*t.

Knights couldn't buy a penalty.

Refs had it in their heads who was supposed to win.

Problem is, for the Knights this is virtually every game- even against lower ranking teams at home.

Refs see the odds before the game, so if the Knights get a run on or have a lead, they're subconsciously thinking "Something isn't right here" and so go looking for any 50/50 calls they can give to the opposition team in order for "business as usual" to resume.

If it was one of the NRL's high-rating, high membership Sydney clubs or the Broncos it'd be a massive story. Refs would be stood down, The Courier Mail would be calling for Queensland to secede, there'd be Geoff Toovey-style investigations galore...

...But it's just that bunch of no-hopers from up the freeway who are barely on TV anymore, plus OMG can't wait to see the Broncos/ Bulldogs/ Roosters/ Souths/ Melbourne go around again on 9 this weekend, so nobody in the NRL could give a shit...

hahahaha, it is always the ref.

They drop the ball, miss the tackles......

Newy did well to stay in it.

Penrith have had like a combined 80 tackles in the Roosters and Storm 20s for 2 tries.

Has to be a concern.

How the f**k did the Tigers let Addo Carr go?

He's a future Origin rep.

For Koro, now JAC.

Absolute numpties.
