If the Broncos get screwed by the refs then it's a conspiracy by the NSW NRL as a get-square for Origin and the refs are reminded that if they want to officiate the Friday Night match of the round in future, they've got to be more impartial in the 50/50 calls.
If the Roosters get screwed by the refs then it's a major talking point in the RL media all week (not that they don't give away enough penalties as it is- as shown again by last nights' game). On top of that, do you really want to risk having Gus dribble on and on and on and on (and on a little more) about the poor state of officiating in the NRL? No. So the refs are careful with the 50/50 calls.
If the Storm get screwed by the refs then not only will Captain "Call me Cam" Cleanskin be in their ear ALL night long, but Bellyache will blow up DELUXE about it- and the Qld media will say it's a conspiracy by the NSW NRL against the Qld Origin stars in the team as a get-square for Origin. Plus, screwing Melbourne in the 50/50 calls is a cardinal sin in the NRL circa 2017, so it doesn't happen.
If Souths get screwed by the refs then it's a major talking point the RL media all week and it'll upset their huge membership base. I mean come on, they didn't even have a team to support for 2 whole seasons, haven't they suffered enough? The last thing the NRL wants is all those members turning their back on the game in disgust again and losing all the money they spend on the NRL in the process. Can't upset "The Pride of the League" now, can we?
If the Bulldogs get screwed by the refs then not only do you piss off Greenburg, but you piss off Sydney Trains as well. The last thing the NRL wants is another front page/ back page "Code in crisis!" scandal, with mothers by the truckload saying they'll never let their children attend another game and are going to get Giants memberships instead. On top of that, do you really want to piss off their huge membership base who spend so much money on the NRL? Nope. So be careful with those 50/50 calls.

Lol, come on. It's the Knights and they suck. Who cares if they got a few bad calls against them- nobody expects them to win anyway. The betting agencies all had them at long odds and the entire Footy Show panel tipped the other team to beat them- it's not the refs fault, the Knights are just an unfashionable bunch of no-hopers from up the freeway.

Me? I expected the Knights to compete well enough to win, but get pegged by some shit decisions and the thing is, I don't even know whether to laugh about the fact I'm not more pissed about it...
