We struggled but lost to the team coming #1 at their turf with a few of our better key players missing.

Your muppets struggled to beat a depleted pissant Titans at your own ground.

You've heard of the Titans yeah?

Also its going to be tough to replace Thurston but its not like you guys wont look for options. You never planned on him getting injured

Any club would struggle if their first choice seven was out. Its weird that bronx fans are writing you guys off forever

The notion that NQ became a successful club because of Thurston is very simplistic. He was with us for years when we were awful.

The club has managed to get it's shit together off the field with quality staff, good junior pathways and a very good coach. It takes a village to raise a child as they say.

When Thurston and Scott retire we will be like all clubs who rebuild, develop, and recruit. Hopefully with the culture that has been built this will lead to reasonable success.

Some Drongos fans are really quite pathetic it is easy to see.

You know the best chance we ever had for a premiership (well before 'that' one.....) was in '04 when the merkin wasn't even playing for us. We got a mad run of confidence and a groundswell of support throughout the north and they just found a groove.

The club was around before Thurston, and it will be around a long time after he goes.

The one stat the commentators seem to forget about Jt and us is that whenever he is out, it's generally around origin and we have 2-3 (sometimes more) others missing as well. But it's just easier to say we are a one man band with him without actually looking at the situation for what it is.

We have had periods where we have been absolutetley horrendous on the field, and the headgeared one has been out on the field playing for us.

Played well for 40 minutes and then Cows got on a huge roll in that 2nd half. Very lucky to win that, but they got the win. Cowboys still a genuine title contender, Lolo and Hess are deadset monsters.

I never imagined the Cows would be a pushover, even with JT, Scott, and Coote on the sideline. Plenty of strikepower still in the team without those three. Annoyed we couldn't go on with the job done in the second half, but a fright like that could do us the world of good long term. We're a team on the way up, but we've only just started that journey, and we can't get ahead of ourselves. I still don't believe we're a genuine top 4 team, and I sure as hell hope Mary and the players aren't thinking that. A 6/7 start can turn to shit very quickly.

Forgot to add, congrats to the dragons fans. Your boys are a good team and should go far this year, the turn around is quite remarkable, good shit.
It's been a long time coming haha.

You should be proud of your team no-one gave them a hope but they never gave up.

Coote a loss but not so much with Ponga's natural ability .
JT a big loss not just for his skill but the rest seem to be lost without him .
Like a lot of teams who have a star ..when he's not there I think it's more mental than anything else .
The belief that they can't win without him .

They seemed to have a go in the 2nd half...played well but I think St G had taken the foot off the pedal .

The bloke we really miss is Jake Granville
You replace a smart quick thinking dummy half with an average player you lose a bit in go forward .
Still not a bad effort .
saints have to learn to keep the intensity up for the full 80
ATM they are going great .
But to play so well for 40 then switch off is not good
