No game on a Thursday is what should be happening! Friday evening is the start of the weekend. Simple as that!

Tonight will end up 12-15K and look good on TV, hardly a disaster. I think that would be a better result than f**king over the Newcastle crowd which will be huge tomorrow and be a great goodwill story for the league.

This game wouldn't have pulled much more in any timeslot so it's not losing a great deal being on a Thursday.

I do think it's a good idea to open the season with some big crowds to encourage the fans to get involved though.

Crowd looks great, there pretty loud biggest crowd I’ve seen at kogorah in a while. Right game right time (despite Thursday’s being aids) I think this is the game that would have been least affected.

It's a good turnout! Suppose whilst daylight savings times are still about its not so late in reality!? Think the Thursday night issue will bight when its genuinely later timewise as the season moves on. Especially after daylight savings has a rest after March.

Thursday night is a crap night. With a bit of good weather unlike the first seven rounds of last season the crowd numbers will read well this season.
