2018: Cooper Cronk's retirement means the end of the Big Three at Melbourne.

Next year we can look forward to the emergence of the Big Four at Sydney Roosters: James Tedesco, Latrell Mitchell, Luke Keary and Jake Friend.

There is possibility, if Mitchell Pearce is rejuvenated by the off season and preseason, of even imagining the Big Five. But let's wait on that development.

Albert was obviously choking another darkie (no offence meant) and a thought bubble popped into his vacant cranium.

So the Cowboys next year have;

Thurston;
Morgan;
Taumalolo and supported by:

Coote;
Hess;
Cooper;
Scott.

Eels have smokies in;

Norman;
Gutherson;
Moses.
(Admittedly the lose Semi but they look good for next year notwithstanding).

And you wanna talk about

Mitchell;
Pearce;
Friend;
Keary.

No Maloney. No Carney to make Pearce look good. Is Keary good enough to do this? Not even a SBW or a Moa to make JWH look good.

I hope you get good odds.

The question most of us will have next year is can Munster orchestrate as lead half before Smith and Slater retire.

Mitchell Pearce works at Suzanne Grae in the off season
