The top two go up automatically, and the third spot is determined by a playoff of teams placed 3-6.

Currently going up automatically: Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion, who are six and five points clear of third place. Either would have to choke massively to not go up.

Currently in the playoff places: Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Cardiff. A few others are three to five points back.
