Will the next coach have the guts to push past caring about integrity, honestly and fair sportsmanship, like all the other top 8 clubs, and our last coach, and deliver us another title.?

'Spose' Killer Ken Kearney is out of the question.

At least the NRL couldn't place controls over his coaching if his contact is from the 'other side'

But the stupid quigs probably will try.

VIVA THE MARLINS, Long may they live.

The dust is now beginning to settle and the Sharks enter the post Flanno era. This is a massive appointment for the Sharks to transition from Gal/Flanno. Keep the best bits - toughness, resilience, strong junior system, physicality etc and build a new direction in keeping with where the game is heading.

My view is that the Sharks identify the best young coach in the game. This is not the time for a recycled veteran. This needs to be someone who can lead the place for 5 seasons and transform it. An example is Robinson at Easts. Did the apprenticeship in England and has done a strong job (using the tremendous resources available).

The Sharks have a strong, experienced squad. They are ready to go and it might freshen the team up to hear some new ideas. A younger coach won't need to rebuild to be competitive. They are competitive now.

Couple of young aussie coaches in UK

Simon Woolford but only had a half a season over there
Justin Holbrook - coach of st helens, 1.5 season already 72% win record, was assistant to Trent Robinson at Roosters, does have 1.5 years left on contract, but if Flanno was to go to St Helens

I'd pick Steve Price, if he was available. He knows the joint and would have some respect from the senior players. Getting an unknown in with some of the players we have could cause issues.
Someone with some NRL experience is a must or is an understudy to a super coach
