I note that grim reality isn't well received by some on this site. Northern Sydney is now a basket case for rugby league and a growth pot for union and other codes. Keep on the same tact and the same will happen elsewhere in Sydney. It seems a few enjoy making the same mistakes on this site with the intent to hurt this code. Whiteanting established clubs surely doesn't strengthen this envied competition!
Correct!

If they are going to persist with Monday/Thursday nights for TV over crowds, they need to compensate the clubs with incentives to get crowds on those games

For example the NRL should offer each team hosting a Thursday night game up to $100,000 and each game should sell 10,000 tickets to the TV side of the game for only $10 with the NRL matching the $10.

The nrl gave them $3million a year no strings attached, maybe the clubs should get off their backsides and use some that windfall?

With the money they should build special weather machines ..
Set the controls for 21degrees with no wind or rain.

Barring that, they could give out free cups of tomato soup.

You do realise those figures are inflated due to Magic round. In reality Roosters actual figure would be lower. The problem I have with those Magic round inflated figures is that if you average those Home figures they don't equal the average nrl average crowd attendance.
Pure trickf**kery from the NRL. Nothing to see here, move along.

Cronulla is 38km away
Manly is 40km away

Penrith is 32km away.

Parramatta was rebuilt as it has two major tenants and serves the geographical heart of Sydney.
36km actually, virtually the same.
They are both closer to Allianz, so they should play there then.
Penrith is further away from any'major' stadium than any other 'Sydney' club. They deserve an upgrade as much as any other club including Parramatta.

Thursday - top 2 side vs a midfield team - cold, wet, miserable and a school night - 5,578.
Friday - top 2 side vs a midfield team - cold, wet and miserable but not a school night - 13,918.

NRL take note.

Maybe they can add a new stadium to Gus' five year plan

The other 2 do not have a free motorway virtually door to door, but yeah lets forget that!

Are you just going to deliberately ignore the part where the Penrith train line goes directly to Parramatta station and it's about a 15 minute walk if you're a morbidly obese blimp of a human from Parramatta station to Bankwest?

You're comparing a 30 minute train ride in a straight line to an hour + journey by public transport from both the Shire and the Northern Beaches to get to Moore Park.

I don't think our game would have got much more if it was on a Friday with the same weather though.

He doesn't live in reality and just chooses facts that support his argument even though they are illogical arguments!
