So all the NRLW Jerseys for 2019:

Broncos (Unchanged)
1946-949.jpg

Warriors (Changed):

Roosters (Unchanged):

Dragons - Yet to release

Happy to see the Warriors change from their random purple, grey, white combination last year to a design and colour scheme more aligned with the club.

Wonder if the Dragons will change anything beyond the logo. Interesting to see on the Roosters that they've now put colour behind the text under the logo to make it more legible... Wonder if we'll see that on the Telstra Premiership logo next year.

That Roosters one is photoshop. There’s a photo somewhere of the actual jersey and the text is the same as the Telstra Premiership logo.

It would be cool if the NRLW Warriors changed their logo to include the curved tongue, like this one:

latest

I think @kdalymc posted a story on the club changing to the straight tongue because it was traditionally effeminate?

In 2000, when the Auckland Warriors were owned by the Tainui tribe, the logo was modified with the tongue of the tiki being straightened as a curved tongue is believed to be cursed (it represented physical weakness) in the Māori culture.

One wonders about the mindset of people running NRL clubs? Surely the familiar lime green jumper should have been used today in Canberra by the Raiders. This club is on Primetime FTA tv in a big match and wears an unfamiliar outfit!? Just amazing lack of public relations and marketing thinking. Confusing new and longtime fans is not a wise tact for any club looking to increase its overall recognition within a competitive sports market.

Raiders today look like 1995 NQ from the wide angle shots. I may have needed a room to myself for 2mins when noticing this......

ABC Radio were very dissapointed with the dramatic and unnecessary jumper change. The ABC commentator suggested that if they are to do such changes for a cause at least use the main colour or colours of the club. In this case, a mainly lime green colour. It matters. Some don't think so . Others do.

Sorry if this question seems to be from left field... But, honestly, who gives a flying f**k what "ABC Radio" thinks about the Raiders jersey? You know? The jersey that, as Timmah indicated, was to raise awareness for Deaf Australia, and had been, as Timmah indicated, communicated for weeks?

It was a one off jersey, for a good cause - But sure, let's get upset because there wasn't enough lime f**king green in it...

It's another example of League fans and media just being so prone to whinging and complaining. It is a really bad culture around the game.

Wests Tigers will wear their heritage jersey for the second time this Sunday, against the Dragons at the SCG:

On the same day, reminding everyone that Cronulla will wear this when they host Canberra...

The NRL should simply be signing a multi million dollar deal with a branding and marketing consultation firm to oversee all decisions made by the clubs including custom jerseys and make sure they fit in with both the NRL brand and the individual brand of each club.

It matters. Some don't think so? Others do! It's important to note that Primetime FTA tv exposes a club to a larger audience. If the audience, particularly a new audience is confused by a different look then that does the club no favours in recognition and familiarity. It's a fair point.

At least charity/awareness/community jerseys achieve something other than only lining the club's/manufacturer's pockets. I don't care for teams switching it up all of the time, but there are bigger offences to go after first.

No, it really doesn't mate - You seem to come across as someone who needs to be upset about something - Which is kind of sad, but hey, each to their own I suppose...

As has been said, a few times now, it was a ONE OFF, for a GREAT CAUSE, to RAISE AWARENESS

But who cares about the deafies hey? As long as there's some lime green on the jersey... because THAT'S what matters... apparently
