Memberships are just one metric. If anything crowds are more important. If you’ve got low membership numbers but high crowds than you’re probably taking in more revenue (as memberships tend to be cheaper).
Is it a concern that their memberships are so low? Somewhat yes. It’s hardlt a surprise though. Outside of a few good years at the start the club has been a basket case. They’re never competitive on the field and off the field they’re a shambles and have looked like going belly up multiple times. That’s hardly going to lead to surging memberships and crowds.
They’re still not at the bottom when it comes to crowds. A little bit of success and I can see them performing better a few other clubs who have had far more to cheer about.
The GC has a huge junior league. One would have thought they would have had a deal for their juniors.
Facts are memberships can be cheap, depending on what you take up.
The club with a great stadium has not increased their memberships dramatically. In fact they are just growing, emphasis on just.
And bearing in mind the Broncos when they play there, also assist with their averages,Without the Broncs the crowd averages would be dismal.
Whilst the titans stadium is a good one (from experience I’d say it’s right up here with the best in the country) it does have its downsides. IMO it’s a pain in the arse to get to and the icky prices are far too high which outweighs any benefit to the stadium being good.
I don’t think it’s fair to say their crowds are inflated by playing the broncos. That’s what, 1-2 games per year? How many games each yet do Sydney teams receive a boost from away fans?
