Because it is a traditional event that attracts supporters of all teams, not just those playing. You'd get 35k for Parra v Penrith on Anzac Day in proximity to the City.

Probably but that's up to you guys to try and create an annual marquee event.

No one tries to take it off the dragons tally or storm or good Friday off souths/dogs or Easter Monday off parra/wests.

You didn't create the event, it was given to you! You are getting a new ground that will do zero to increase your crowds. Corporate power keeps you where you are not genuine fans!

These crowds (included in averages) were cited as proof the Roosters have a strong supporter base. They are events attended by supporters of all clubs. The Dragons, Eels, Bulldogs (when they are winning) etc, do have large supporter bases. We are in a provincial city and have had limited on-field success, and our ground capacity is limited as well, so ours isn't all that big compared to the Eels and Dogs. It could be turned around with a period of sustained on-field success, such as happened to the clubs mentioned above. The Roosters have already had the premiership wins, and enjoy on-field success the envy of everyone north of Melbourne, but don't enjoy the fanbase of clubs like Dragons, Eels and Bulldogs. It's much closer to ours when you get down to it.

Over confident Raiders fans are always a joy to read. It will be the match of the year no doubt, just hope the refs don't fook it up and spoil it for either side with one of their Einstein calls.

But with the huge Panther crowd, and Kikau getting shafted, I don't see a Canberra win.

Don't forget though that Ashley Klein is reffing!
That gives Canberra all the 50-50 calls their way!

And all of the 60/40’s, 70-30’s and etc.

I wish sportsbet had markets on referees dudding teams. Penrith fans would be millionaires.

Raiders will get the rub of the green so to speak.

Still a Panthers victory. 21-20. Jimmy FG.

Panthers blaming the refs already. Always good to have an excuse ready I guess.

If we lose to the Panthers it just means we played super duper sh*t. Which is well within us.

Touche. The result will be decided by one of the following excuses:

1. Refs
2. Raiders playing shit (Opposition irrelevant)

While Klein loves to make baffling decisions. There's no guarantee that he will f**ks us over or that anything he does will decide the game. Hopefully he f**ks both teams over equally.

I honestly think it's more likely Panthers winning streak comes to an end because its hard to maintain winning form for a long time. We are aiming to equal our longest ever winning streak with what is a very average roster compared to the one who set it.

I rate us as being in with a good chance tomorrow. But this streak will end eventually. Hopefully we hold on to set a new record against Bulldogs next week. But losing to a strong Raiders side fighting to stay in the top 4 wouldnt be the worst way to end the streak. We won't drop down the ladder given other results. This is the first game in a long time where the pressure has eased on us a bit.

We still need to win to maintain a bit of breathing space. Broncos have been improving & are making a run.

We've played 4 under Klein this year and won one of them. This is in line with our historical win rate under him. We would have lost that except Edwards scored in the last minute. This was one of the times we received an apology from Annesly for Klein failing to refer Kikau's try, which he incorrectly disallowed.

You lot must have rejoiced when Klein got this game.

Klein loves f**king us too. Hopefully that should mean it evens out, although who really knows.
