Yep Benji was certainly the golden boy back in the day. Difference was back then you had the footy and the footy show. These days there’s a a 24/7 NRL Channel, Triple M which is essentially a rugby league station, multiple podcasts, and more games on free to air. So when the media gets in a fap over a player/team it’s constantly in your face.
