As we hit November 1 and the Rugby League calendar rolls over to the 2019 season, i'd like to welcome all newcomers to the Dragons, both on staff and playing-group.

Jonus Pearson, Mikaele Ravalawa, Korbin Sims, Eddie Blacker, Jason Saab (promoted from U20s) and of course, our new CEO Brian Johnston.

There are more names behind the scenes i'm sure, and more players to be signed from outside of the club, and i'm sure we'll welcome them all with open arms.

Which new players are you most excited for in 2019? Who are you hoping has the biggest year of their career in 2019? And what would you like to see from Brian Johnston in his first few months as CEO?

Saw a bit of video of a young Pommy centre in their win over Kiwis: Oliver Gildart. Does anyone know much about him other than his try in that game? Apparently he was player of the year for Wigan. Only 22 years old. Wonder if he would like to live in Kogarah or the 'gong?

What I would really like ( apart from the obvious ie a new coach ) is one more fast dynamic back ( Holmes etc ) and one big mongrel forward ( Kapow etc ).

Which new players are you most excited for in 2019?
Mikaele Ravalawa becoming another Ricky Stuart 'reject' and killing it on the wing.
Korbin Sims stepping in where Ah Mau left off and becoming a no-nonsense metre eater.
Who are you hoping has the biggest year of their career in 2019?
Ben Hunt (for obvious reasons), Widdop, and Lomax.
And what would you like to see from Brian Johnston in his first few months as CEO?
Not extend Mary's contract no matter how well we are travelling.

Like the see the forwards totally dominate again only this time for ALL season no lapses, with Vaughn, Graham and Korbin metre eating and smashing every prop in defence who comes near them and Tariq even more aggressive and smashing more players to bits even harder than last season. With Luch coming into his own like a young Beetson offloading at will setting up Lomax, Dufty and Field on long runs strait under the posts, love to see young gun Lawrie carrying on where he left off, love to see JDB become one of the best forwards in the world along with Frizz allowing the backs to run riot over all opposition, love to see Pearson and Ravalawa to carve it up and both be far better more proactive hard working wingers than Nene to give us more x factor and speed to burn, with Lomax becoming a superstar in his first season Ponga style and Dufty coming good in defence and more confident under the high ball carving it up in attack better than last season and Hunt coming way back into form like early in the season and carrying it on to a GF win 40 nil against the Rorters!! GO DRAGONS!!!

welcome all the new players im so excited to see you play your best in the Red V!!!
HUGE Welcome the the greatest league team of all human history, regardless of ol Froghead as coach, 2019 IS OUR YEAR!!!

I know people will say it’s early days and we may get other bodies on board

BUT

At this stage I’m not excited. Instead I’m hopeful for a good outcome based on our recruitments thus far. I can’t help but feel we repeatedly slide sideways instead of forward.

Now Id be excited if we had of kept Ah Mau and been able to also acquire Korbin.

Likewise if we kept Nene and added Oates or Tupo

Now - I’m merely hopeful that the least experienced wing pairings in recent memory, a fullback who has ability but questionable intensity and defence and a less than impressive centre pairing, good halves and great forwards (albeit questionable depth) can put it together. If they can it will be very special.

1 None thus far just hoping more than being excited. But I am excited about who we may sign before season kickoff..okay I wont be a pessimist, I will say K Sims cause I think playing with his brother off a leash may see him lift a peg or two and crack a few heads
2. Without doubt Dufty & Hunt..and watch Lomax kick on as a regular centre just like Coops or Gaz
3. Extend McGregor..........a long handshake goodbye

My prayers have been answered and I am excited as we have resigned Allgood for a year.
We did sign that Melbourne reserve grader Lachlan Timm..see how he goes
ISP looking good
And another Lomax coming into a development squad. Samy61 may know but is that Zac's younger brother?

We have 2 spots left up for grabs 1 outisde back.... for.........Hayne? *leaves 1.
They will wait before June 30 to fill the other one depending on injuries etc.

Lachlan Timm has good size about him, I hope he can deliver as I feel that Kerr just won’t make the grade at the moment which I might add I’m sad about as I had huge hopes for him.

Interesting for me was the statement made by Millwood about we only have two spots left for 2019.
If this is the case then Mann and Dufty aint going anywhere at least for the next season unless they pull a surprise.

Looking for 1 more outside back is also an intetesting comment. Appears that this trail hadnt reached its end yet and that the incumbents are on notice.

Wouldnt suprise to see a whole new backline in 2019.

I look forward to getting through a season without criticizing the club or players.

Go you Dragons!

Oh what a lovely gesture.

Also I reckon we should hand out encouragement medals to the players after every loss, just so there feelings don’t get hurt.

We have K Sims for Ah Mau and that is about it in the forwards. All the rest maybe except for Lawrie are dead set ISP grade players. It may well be that Frizell moves to prop to give us the 4 first grade props we need our rotation. These four backed up by the likes of Lawrie, Latimore, Allgood and Kerr.

So if Frizell moves to prop, I expect Robson to the bench in the triangle position - hooker totation and backrow.

With Johnston, I'd like to see some backbone in his decision making.

That’s totally in the hands of the coaches, players and club. Play well, go hard, no fade outs, don’t get beat by 40, then they won’t get criticised.
However, that’s unlikely with a fool as a coach and Doust still hovering around.

We need the guys who reviewed the cricket leadership leading to crickets recent terminations and resignations to come review our club, pretty sure there would be no man standing.

Young gone
Hornby gone
Doust gone
Mary gone
The board, gone
