I could be wrong but are we getting a new jersey for 2020?....... we have changed suppliers that i know but what about design ...... only a couple yrs ago Big Gus doing the video saying the allsorts is the jersey people want..... then to change it to play in that thing this yr that looked like a t/shirt...... and is white no longer a colour?....... shorts and jerseys this yr no longer sported it.

We've had a couple chances to stick with great looking jerseys. 2016 and 2017/18 were great IMO. Last years strip just made it look more boring than the previous one.

I understand that we change them to sell more jerseys but we could do that with the alternate strips.

FANGS you are on the money..... clubs like the chooks, bunnies, storm , bulldogs and dragons dont prostitute the clubs jersey fabric for a bit of extra coin....... and i would argue all of the above are better run and had more success than the Panthers in the last 20 yrs.

A lot of those teams you mentioned sold their soul to Marvel for those themed rounds... No club is innocent of not selling out to make more money of merch.

just pick and stick - we've dicked around with colours over the years hence opposition supporting baiting us with what our true identity colours are...

it gets mentioned every year but why new jerseys exceed $150 a year is ridiculous, id be interested to know what jersey sales are like during the season compared to the offseason when they sell for below half price (just an comparison on actual jerseys sold during the season and in the off season).

As long as we don't mess with the colours I'm fine with some minor changes to design. Almost all clubs do it, even the Bulldogs, Rabbits etc. Only exceptions would be the Chooks and to a lesser degree the Dragons.

And yes, no commercialised abominations (ie Marvel themed).

Pretty sure they will to be honest - Changing suppliers, as said previously, will mean some kind of tweaking, but I don't the core colours will change. Everybody that I know was stoked to see the all-sorts come back, so they'd be absolute moronic to change it now.

Exactly. I do wish though that suppliers whom ever they may be would make large sizes (especially in the womans stuff) easier to wear. They are generally shapless. I believe they just use the smaller sizes as the block pattern, and therefore as they get larger the garment looses any sense of proportion. I asked many moons ago when Shaun was doing the merch, and he confirmed this to me.

Suppliers would make a killing if the larger sizes were actually made to look flattering rather than like sugar bags. Also the sizing is way off. Very small.

I think it will be the same design, just a new apparel partner... Classic did keep the last Asics design (for one season).

Jersey revolution lol, didn’t we have 3 of those under Gould.

There was the teal. Then the Pink. Then the return of 91 style jersey. In between there was the white jerseys, and the white one with with a big scary panther and the old school brown that all had a run.

What would be revolutionary in regards to Penrith jerseys is running out with the same strip 3 season straight.

Does the jersey really matter in the end (especially if the team is winning) ?

Does it really matter what colour the jersey is ?

Me I'd like the current colours to stay. But if they change, I'll probably shrug my shoulders and say 'ah well'.

The stuff that comes with a membership. I'd be quite happy with nothing at all. Because all I really want when I buy a membership is the seat and ticket to the game.

It will be fascinating to see what Friday holds regarding the new jersey.

It really matters if you want the club to be here in 20-50 years
