Denan and Finchy (recent players) were interesting in their podcast today. Especially when they said that most things the fans love players doing wouldn't be in the top 10 most valued plays in an NRL footy team. And also said that Mitch did fine and that if TAB was betting on the most likely scapegoat before the game he would have been paying 1.01

Is a good listen, made some good points.

Like Moses got NSW back into the game with the try to Api, and that TA is a lot harder to put on then it looks.

Also on the plays that are important to the team but not the fans, they talk about it’s more important for a winger to get to the middle of the field (and get smashed doing it and losing 2 metres) rather then making 15 m on the edge / sideline if there was the opportunity.

interestingly Dunster isn’t making a lot of metres but he is making lots of runs pushing the ball into middle and getting smashed doing it…..

The front on camera showed he went through all the options in his head before finally choosing what to do. Either that or he knew what he was going to do when he got the ball and sold it all with his eyes and the way he held the ball

The Podcast with Buzz, Mobbs etc all reckon that the call for the Souths pair was “vindicated”. Then 10 mins later they conceded that if Ponga didn’t slap that ball down then everyone wouldn’t be talking about the halves.

"QLD were so much better and the NSW halves we shit", but from memory they won by a penalty goal that they scored in the 4th minute for Cameron Murray lying in the ruck. Why isn't Murray being called out for the reason we lost. His ill discipline cost us the game just as much as any other play.
