That forward pack is a complete mess, christ almighty.
It's a result of the crackdown. Queensland will be likewise. Couldn't possibly be any worse than the pack smashed by Queensland in last year's decider though.

Cleary to choke on the big stage in the lowest rating Origin in years, after which V'landal, Paul merkin and James "circumcised penis" Hooper can stick this nonsense crackdown as far as their ass as it dares to go.

QLD by 8.

Not that the Panthers need any help but surely they make Campbell Graham 18th man for Origin instead of Koroisau, considering Souths have the bye? I mean logically it makes more sense anyway as he's a big body and can fill in in the forwards if required at a pinch.

Valid point, although I think he has been brought in if Cook isn't up to speed, and more to the point is they bring in Api to get familiar with training with the team, then leave him out so he can play V Tigers and slot right in if Cook is injured in the next game(s). Maybe just a preperation move in covering all bases as the hooking spot is not what you want to be under prepared for.

Whoever is running out next Wed week, will do their job.

Qld with the leg up again
Water off a duck's back for the NSW players. Gotta play in Qld sooner or later, so it gives the rookies a lot of "sooner experience" in what it's like so they'll be ready for the decider back up in Qld if they lose.

IMO, this backline every time I look at it looks more freakish. The class, speed and power in this NSW backline looks like it's rolled off of a Rolls Royce assembly line.

The first two games are in Qld, series could be over by the time it gets to Sydney.

There is no such ‘leg up’ - the Queensland government simply stumped up a greater offer than what NSW did for Bankwest or Newcastle. The NRL needs coin and the QLD labor government is daft enough to offer an exorbitant figure.

They should switch game two to Sydney, but they won’t because Brisbane brings in far more corporate coin. They will leave that as the Sunday fixture given it has nearly sold out at full freight - tickets for game three at ANZ have barely moved.
