This could very well go down as the worst season ever. The sheer amount of blowouts, the chasm like divide between a few contenders and the rest of the comp, these ridiculous rule changes, clubs openly exploiting those same ridiculous rule changes in front of everyone else's faces....It just obscenely bad.

Pretty much. Tbh the comp has been a farce for a while now, just the same sides winning year after year. Storm getting caught cheating, slapped with a feather now back trotting out stacked sides with no questions asked. Roosters in a similar boat (gotta be an Inglis joke in there somewhere).
Such a monumental gap between the top sides, and the officials are running games in the same way. The big dogs are getting the calls, grabbing the ascendency and carving up on a regular basis. This comp is essentially being propped up by the incredible loyalty of the sides who have struggled for a long time now; the tigers, knights, saints, raiders, eels, warriors.
The NRL has become the EPL and its really f**king boring.
