Sharks to help the Smugthers to premiership glory by notching some much needed losses for them.

That was the problem last season. Not enough adversity before the big dance.

Sharks clear favourites here.

Who'd have thought so many off-contract players could start playing good football? Sharkies have a new lease on life.

After last week I am not at all confident with May starting at halfback.
May stank it up last week. Positive is Api scooting from hooker should take some pressure off may and Burton, but I still think tonight will be tough without all of the origin pricks back on deck.
Lots of sharks playing for a future, people seem to pull their finger out at this stage.

You were confident before last week?

I wasn't. His halves form had sucked in every first grade appearance since doing his ACL. Last year he was a good fix it player, but this year he hadn't even been that.

More disappointed in Kikau. He had been coasting along for us and that's fine at full strength. We needed him to lift and he bitched it. Missing 4 forwards we needed him at his best.

I wouldn’t expect Penrith to be as poor as they were last week.
Sharks will have to be better than the Tigers were to win. The good news for them is that the Tigers weren’t that great so the bar isn’t all that high.

Koroisau and Leota are far better than Kenny and Eisenhuth so our starting team is improved from last week at least.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has finalised his side to face Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Netstrata Jubilee Oval.

Rookie forward J'maine Hopood has been promoted into the starting side, with Matt Eisenhuth dropping back to the bench.

NSW Origin debutant Liam Martin shifts from the reserves to the interchange at the expense of Spencer Leniu.

The Panthers will wear the 2021 Home Jersey.
