The Wall
If two or more players form a wall (side by side) next to the play the ball and don’t allow the opportunity for a defending player to move directly towards the player in possession, the referee will penalise for obstruction.
Never penalised once in 112 years …. I mean it should be but never has been

Not only was it a wall, Ponga moved sideways and reached out to further obstruct the defenders. The most blatant example of a wall you will ever see - other than the one the Panthers used to beat the Raiders in Bathurst 5 years ago - and the f**king moron with the whistle misses it.

Grant Atkins must be sacked immediately.

Why do you assume he didn't see it?

Back to the penalty for the tackle on Pearce, it’s the inconsistency that bothers me.

If Pearce had kicked instead of passed, nothing would have happened. Kickers are routinely tackled even later than that and it’s allowed to go on.

Atkins was looking for any excuse to penalise, and he found one.
