do they do any tie ins with local clubs for these games e.g. local side is the earlier game

Earlier game at Mudgee was the Mudgee Dragons v Dubbo Macquarie Raiders. It was most enjoyable.

Ex Manly and Tigers player is the Mudgee skipper, Jack Littlejohn.

I'm really not sure how anyone can say a team taking a regular game to the same country location each year is a bad thing. Good for the $$$ injection into the town, good for the $$$ for the club, good for fund-raising for the local footy club, good for exposure for the town.

Hotels booked out months in advance, pubs chock full, live musicians getting gigs, cafes booked out, wineries, tour buses, Sunday races....the list goes on.

Seems like a heap of benefits for everyone involved, especially for a side like Manly.

Rough count just over 145000 attended this weekend. I’m guessing 160000 this weekend with some decent weather.

Great crowd at WSS. well done eels and tigers fans. All those who say crowds dont matter I hope you can now see why they do matter.
Exactly how nrl should be, big crowd in a modern stadium. Now if we can just make that the norm rather than the exception!

the bottom end for 2022 impacted by the Warriors playing in Australia

what is the point of comparing games between the same sides in 2019 to 2022 unless they're the same night at the same ground ?

even weather conditions play a huge factor ,
Knights V Manly
2022 Thursday night pouring rain 9472
2019 Fine Saturday night 21779

Raiders V Melb
2022 8133 ... in Wagga
2019 14031 ... in Canberra

those comparisons tell us nothing

i think the knights will get up around 23K , even allowing for 4 losses in a row & another one there on sunday likely

parra have a big following in the hunter & if the weather is good ( predicted to be ) they'll turn out.
