Good effort, I remember couple years ago we struggled to get good crowds at Allianz for finals.

Would be good but they probably won’t do that given the stadium is only half the size of ANZ. The only reason members got reciprocal rights at ANZ was because the stadium is sooo large and they’re never going to sell that out anyway for a regular season game, at least not in our lifetime anyway.

I really don’t see WTF the issue is with not letting Souths play all their home games at the SFS next year. Like from a supporters point of view why would anybody care where the opposition plays their home games. The Eels, Dogs, Rabbitohs, Tigers and even the Dragons all used ANZ as a home ground at one stage…

The chairman of Venues NSW is a Roosters supporter who has openly said he doesn't want us at Allianz and instead wants us to honour our contract at ANZ Stadium despite investment conditions in the contract not being met. The challenge with this is that now that both stadiums are under single management you are negotiating with the same party across all major stadiums.

The only way for this to change is if the minster for sport intervenes or through a change in state government next year as the minister can appoint a new board and CEO of Venues NSW if they so choose.

FWIW I thought the crowd was 60/40 to the Rabbitohs on the weekend which was also the view of the Fox commentary team when I watched the replay.

That would be amazing if they did. Convert it to a fantastic rectangular stadium like Wembley and the city is set.

Ridiculous. I remember he was an economic advisor to Tony Abbott. One of his suggestions was to reduce the minimum premium to something like $7 an hour to stimulate the economy. If people even got a sniff of that happening they would of raised Parliament House

But where do Souths go if they leave Accor and btw I wasn't Souths in South Sydney.
West Tigers and Bulldogs should just move full time to Accor.

Only issue is who’s going to pay for it??? Stupid Covid munchers blew all our money on unnecessary Covid measures the last 2 years, no way they’re going to change ANZ stadium, nor should they. There’s nothing wrong with it.

I think the SFS is now a beautiful ground but it really didn’t need the sort of development that it got. It was the best ground to watch the NRL at in NSW.

I really have no issues with the AFL playing their games there. At the end of the day it’s a public ground, it doesn’t belong to anybody.
