Yes which is why forcing the ball isn’t the same as carrying it in general play, because in general play banging the ball into the ground and letting it go isn’t allowed…
Which is why having control of the ball grants the player that exception.

So in order to justify the inherent knock on in scoring a try, we need to rule out tries which involve a fumble at some earlier time even where they are identical at the point of scoring the try. That logic doesn’t do anything for me but that’s rugby league for ya.

Mam somehow looks quite promising but has also dropped the ball or kicked it away almost every time he’s touched it
