Souths have been one of the top 4 clubs of the last decade. Made a GF in 2021. Only Reynolds was in the 2012 squad when the decade of competitiveness began.

But handyman reckons the club has had numpties all around it.

What im saying is that we need a specialist recruiter plus a better recruiting team, what im saying is that since Richo left weve had Ello trying to do it all, which is impossible, weve somehow stuffed the cap as has been written,weve had to let go first graders and couldnt replace them or even keep say gags because some idiot brought in this over 30s only 1 year BS which will lose us players, i want to stay in the top 4, i know new players juniors need to be brought in and blooded but after not playing many games for the last 2 years our youngsters will be underdone.
I sit here reading other teams poaching so called young guns while we sit on our arses and in fact losing some of ours or letting players go like the goat. Thats what im not happy about. We needed to change our nsw cup,it ran last but have we? Lets see, we dont have to break the bank every off season but a few poaching of other youngsters is not happening enough.
Sorry if im negative,sorry im upsetting people here, i want my club to kick arse just like storm and roorters, i wanted 1 change in the board which i believe has stagnated, it didnt happen,well i hope it works, ok we have many positive views here,and i love it but i offer a different view,thats all

I think these are some really good changes and it'll be interesting to see how it changes the process. Well done NRL on looking at this and hopefully fixing it.

Have I read that correctly that loading and carry over points are gone? So the length of each suspension will be based on that incident alone and not have previous things impacting it? Is that correct? If so, that's so bloody great to hear and it needed to happen a long time ago. Very happy if that's the case!

The cap is doing it's job! The whole point of it is to distribute established talent around the League.

Why aren't you excited about the Rabbitohs crop of young players?

If you can't see the obvious planning, updating, and acquisitions in the roster, then that's on you.

Rabbitohs to seek answers over arch-rivals, double standards

James Tedesco's "Squid Games" scandal has been brought back onto the NRL's agenda by the Sydney Roosters' arch rivals, the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Tedesco was originally found to have done nothing wrong after an internal Sydney Roosters investigation.

The club moved quickly to shut down the matter, despite the fact the woman at the centre of the report had made a complaint to the NRL.

It wasn't until the NRL became involved, with the integrity unit investigating the matter, that they found Tedesco had in fact had more involvement than the Roosters investigation had found.

The NRL would ultimately fine Tedesco $10,000, although the Roosters and New South Wales State of Origin captain escaped any sort of suspension for the off-field incident.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs, according to The Daily Telegraph however, are seeking answers from the NRL over alleged double standards.

It comes after the Redfern-based club were slapped with a fine of their own for failing to report a Sam Burgess historic issue to the NRL head office in a timely fashion.

It's understood the Rabbitohs have now reached out to the NRL and asked the question regarding why the Roosters have seemingly been treated differently over the Tedesco issue, given the club originally found no wrongdoing for the star.

The Roosters were not sanctioned alongside Tedesco for their initial investigation into the issue.

Lower grades aren't all about the wins and losses. It's about the performances of the depth and future talent pushing through for an NRL spot. Hopefully a few of the backs played well to put some pressure on the guys who played vs Brisbane on Friday night.

I dont agree, it shows depth it shows attitude plus talent,the only excuse we have is that there are a few from our lower grades who havent played at this level before,but look at the oposition,the dogs didnt even have a nsw cup team last year,but they seem to have recruited better than us,now thats what im getting at,a strong nsw team means pressure on the first graders

It's not the be-all. Penrith and Magpies led the NSW Cup comp before Covid last season. One won the comp in NRL, the other (Tigers) were a shambles.

I don't even know if whole Cup teams even train together, given their full-time / part-time mix.

Which ive mentioned before,if the coaches havent tried to upskill and have a few players practicing goal kicking,this is what happens,no goals in 1st grade and none in nsw cup,a sorry state of affairs.

Our goal kickers in first grade are Mitchell and Taaffe and neither were playing, can't do much about that.

Honestly we are delushional,others poach from us,why cant we do the same, we had 450 to give gagai, we had 700 for AR we could have bought the fox for 600, recruitment stinks,bad, why didnt we give gagai 2 years?

He repeats himself, it starts with Sunday's paper, he then carries it over to Monday morning on 2KY, and then says exactly the same chite on NRL360

Having said all that, one thing he brought up was Terrell Kalo Kalo scored 3 tries with 9 touches of the ball. Did anyone see this? Your thoughts? Can he be the centre we need to fill the left side? Will JD give him a go?
