Yep, The Leota try felt like a consolation and that 'at least we won't be absolutely embarrassed'. But a few minutes later I looked up at the clock and thought there is still enough time here as long as we keep the Broncos out. That was exactly what we needed to give us a glimmer of hope - but to also send some nerves through the Broncos squad.
Agree. I think it was the 40:20 in the set after the Leota try that gave them the belief.

Not sure how Chins got the Churchill for playing well for 35 minutes.

Had the Ponies not choked Mam gets the Churchill easily.

Whoever decides the voting for it needs to be replaced, something I've thought for years.
So if Brisbane win, Mam wins CC medal easily because he had a ball tearing 10 minute period with tries in the 44th, 52nd and 54th minutes.

Penrith win & Cleary gets the CC medal because he had a god level 25 minute period & won them the game.

I see your point.

Yeah making fun of someone for being gay is awesome
Apologies mate, I was about to edit. I meant the reference to the choke. I agree wholeheartedly the gay comments are not acceptable. I hadn’t read his earlier post.

Adam Gee showed up Ashley Klein and Gerard Sutton in his first major match.

With no GF or origin experience it was one of best refereed games in a long time for an important match.

If Gee doesn't get the gig for Origin then someone in NRL HQ needs to be whacked across the head.

Klein and Sutton are no longer capable of handling big games.
While I agree it was a top performance on the night, better than harrigan the show pony and all the recent game managers.... past performance is not indicative of future performances... so I don't think he should get smoke blown to far up his arse. Needs a root and branch overhaul of the ref hierarchy and positive reinforcement to all refs for these types of performances so they become the benchmark.

You begin with “Is that all you got” like you have plenty of retort material because you’re obviously so very clever and then fire off a gay insult as your sign off. LOL
Not playing down the dumb gay slur but I don’t think he understand what a ‘choke’ is. Just because they lost after leading large doesn’t make it a choke. They didn’t freeze and start making dumb mistakes; they just lost momentum and couldn’t wrestle it back (after spending their gas in the first half).

If broncos win you would have given it to Mam for a dazzling 15 minute effort , but take offence at chief chin getting it for a rampaging final 20 minutes.... get a grip AdelaideSnarky.

I’ve watched the highlights 100 times today. The Penrith final 20 are the best collective highlights of the year, but the Walsh break leading to the third Mam try is the single best thing I’ve seen all year. The front on angle is beautiful. I now love Reece Walsh.

Schadenfreude is a highly addictive drug, and the donkeys have done their best to cause me to OD in the last decade. Two spectacular Grand Final chokes, three straight ignomious finals exits (Storm 30-0 in 2017, Dragons 48-18 in 2018, and Eels 58-0 in 2019), a series of second half collapses that handed them an incredibly unlikely wooden spoon in 2020, and last year's collapse from top 4 to missing the finals in 6 weeks, capped off by a truly comical game against the Dragons. It's getting to be too much of a good thing. Come on Kevvie, give us poor little haters a break.
