The Game 2023 NRL Match Review Charges & Judiciary

Hughes defence hinged around a Hess tackle that was worse, that defence was thrown out because they got the Hess tackle wrong

The Hughes decision was unanimous according to Bellew with the Hess incident that was used by the defence counsel deemed "inappropriately graded".

imo Hughes deserved a suspension, Kafusi did not. The worst offence of the weekend was RCG’s but Im guessing he has no priors as it was just a fine
The judiciary can say "oh you can't use that one as precedent because we got that one wrong"?

I can't believe Kaufusi got 4 weeks for that. Karma's bit him on the arse for all the grubby shit he's done in the past, but he shouldn't have even been in the judiciary this time.

Its like the NRl doesnt understand that the fans pay good money to watch the best players be on the field?
Same goes for red cards imo. We pay for a contest, by all means send someone off but they should be replaced by a sub.
I like what SL has done in downgrading everything to fines but the most dangerous stuff.

There are no cards in rugby league.

key word is LATE

The ball was 4metres away
No way dude, he'd committed to the tackle while the other jabroni still had possession of the ball. It's impossible to pull out of tackle at such short notice, he very nearly got him while he still had the ball.

Utter joke he's out for so long! The policing by the referees and standard set by the judiciary unfairly advantages the attacking side by punishing the defending team for defending proactively.

he is only sitting out a month due to prior offences. If he had a clean record would have copped 2 down to 1 with a plea.

Shouldn't have been charged to begin with , let alone the sin bin. NRL legit has the worst officiators of any pro sport.

Wait so JP only gets 2 weeks? I thought leaving the ground to make a tackle meant it was 3 week minimum.

You cannot tell me that WG tackle on the Souths bloke was worse than JP

The judiciary getting Graham's horribly wrong isn't a reason to suspend Paulo for longer than the tackle deserved.

But yeah it's a bit of a lottery

Wightons hit is an interesting one. Worse than Hughes but his team is in quite a hole at the moment. Will be interesting how they approach it
